The 2026 trade fair year is still in its infancy. Accordingly, the archive has so far focused on two events with a clear thematic focus: opti and therapro. Both trade fairs provide impetus early in the year – one in the field of ophthalmic optics and visual comfort, the other in the therapeutic environment between training, regeneration and digitalisation.
At opti 2026, the focus will be on smart glasses for everyday use and performance, as well as classic eyewear models from Pforzheim and wooden glasses from specialist manufacturers. The spectrum ranges from innovative frame materials to functional safety glasses for everyday use. At the same time, individual contact lenses and precise measurement methods for improving visual comfort are gaining in importance. The question of how visual quality can be objectively measured and noticeably optimised in everyday life is shaping many discussions.
therapro 2026 focuses on regeneration, functional training and practice organisation. Pneumatic resistance as an alternative to traditional weight blocks, targeted training of the hip rotators or coordination training show new approaches in therapy and prevention. Topics such as fascia mobility, working without gravity or devices for speech therapy illustrate the diversity of therapeutic concepts. At the same time, the digitalisation of therapy practice is becoming increasingly important – from documentation to training control.
The 2026 archive is still under construction. However, clear lines are already emerging: individual performance optimisation in the optical field and functional, technology-supported approaches in therapy. Further events and contributions will complete the picture in the course of the year.
