After almost a decade, didacta 2027 will once again take place at the exhibition center in Hanover. From February 23 to 27, the city will become the meeting place for the education industry. The return was announced during an official contract signing ceremony attended by representatives of the Didacta Association, Deutsche Messe AG, the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, and the state capital of Hanover.
didacta is Europe's most important trade fair for education and training. With its focus on early childhood education, schools, vocational training, and adult education, it offers a unique platform for exchange and innovation. The decision in favor of the Hanover Exhibition Center reflects the desire of many exhibitors and visitors to have a stronger presence in northern and eastern Germany again. Lower Saxony's Minister of Education Julia Willie Hamburg described the return as a significant success for the state – both in terms of education policy and the economy.
The return of didacta to Hanover sends a strong signal from the education hub. Mayor Belit Onay emphasized the relevance of the trade fair for the development of schools, daycare centers, and universities. Deutsche Messe AG also sees the decision as the result of its strategy to reposition Hanover as an attractive venue for guest events. For 2027, didacta promises not only new content, but also broad participation from players in all areas of education, with a special focus on northern and eastern Germany.
