Messe München GmbH has four shareholders. The Free State of Bavaria, the Bavarian state capital of Munich, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria and the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel act as Managing Directors. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe München is Dieter Reiter, the Lord Mayor of Munich. The first deputy chairman is Hubert Aiwanger, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs.
The trade fair venue is one of the world's leading trade fair organizers and offers first-class event space for national and international exhibitions, congresses and events. With over 200 events a year from a wide range of sectors, including construction, electronics, medicine, sport and tourism, Messe München is an important hub for companies, experts and visitors. In addition to a modern infrastructure consisting of 18 halls with an exhibition area of around 200,000 m², the Munich trade fair center offers an outdoor area with more than 400,000 m² of exhibition space.
