Messe München GmbH has four shareholders. The Free State of Bavaria, the Bavarian state capital of Munich, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria and the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel act as Managing Directors. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe München is Dieter Reiter, the Lord Mayor of Munich. The first deputy chairman is Hubert Aiwanger, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs.

In addition to the 18 halls of Messe München, with an exhibition area of around 200,000 m², the Munich trade fair center offers an outdoor area with more than 400,000 m² of exhibition space.
