Logistics industry meets on international platform from 2 to 5 June

When transport logistic 2025 opens its doors in Munich on 2 June 2025, the international logistics industry will be focusing on key issues for the future of the sector. Patrick Schnieder is expected to attend the official opening, where he will join Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München, in kicking off the leading trade fair. The opening ceremony in the Forum in Hall A3 underscores the political and economic significance of the event, which brings together decision-makers, trade visitors and exhibitors from more than 70 countries. Right from the start, it is clear that transport logistic 2025 goes far beyond a classic product show. The trade fair sees itself as an international marketplace for exchange, strategy and cooperation. Topics such as resilient supply chains, digital control of logistics processes and the decarbonisation of transport and traffic are the focus of numerous discussions, panels and presentations.

Growth of the trade fair reflects the dynamism of the industry

The high level of exhibitor participation is a visible sign of the importance of transport logistic in the global trade fair calendar. Around 2,670 companies have registered for the 2025 edition, which represents a significant increase compared to the last event. Around 65 per cent of exhibitors come from abroad, including numerous market leaders as well as specialised providers from the fields of freight forwarding, transport, IT, intralogistics and infrastructure. To accommodate this growth, Messe München is expanding the exhibition space to around 150,000 square metres. Two additional halls will be used for the first time, ensuring a clearer thematic structure. Visitors will benefit from shorter distances, better orientation and a stronger grouping of related topics. Around 80,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the event to find out about the latest solutions and make new business contacts.

Political impetus at the opening

The participation of the Federal Minister of Transport will draw additional attention to the opening of transport logistic 2025. In times of geopolitical uncertainty, growing regulatory requirements and ambitious climate targets, transport policy is a key factor in the competitiveness of the logistics industry. The presence of politicians at the trade fair signals a willingness to engage in dialogue and the importance of close exchange between business and the public sector. In his opening speech, Patrick Schnieder is expected to address the role of logistics as the backbone of the German and European economy. Topics such as infrastructure expansion, the promotion of digital platforms and framework conditions for sustainable transport solutions will be the focus of attention. For many companies, the trade fair thus offers not only technical input, but also guidance with regard to future political decisions.

Global challenges and integrated perspectives

transport logistic has been regarded as the world's leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management for many years. Its success is based on a combination of international orientation and thematic breadth. In addition to road freight transport, rail and sea freight, digitalisation also plays a central role, for example through cloud-based platforms, AI-supported planning tools and solutions for greater transparency along the supply chain. An integral part of the event is the integrated air cargo Europe, which functions as an independent platform for the international air freight industry. Here, airlines, airports, logistics service providers and technology providers discuss capacities, sustainability and new business models in the air freight market. The close integration with transport logistic enables a holistic view of multimodal transport chains.

Significance for Munich and the trade fair location

For Messe München, transport logistic 2025 is a key flagship event in its international portfolio. The event not only strengthens Munich's position as a global trade fair location, but also generates economic momentum for the region. Hotels, restaurants and service providers benefit, as do the numerous partners involved in staging the event. The trade fair runs until 5 June 2025 and offers a packed programme of exhibitions, conferences and networking formats over four days. For the logistics industry, transport logistic 2025 is once again a must-attend event for identifying trends, discussing strategies and actively shaping the future of global goods flows.
