Christian Vorländer takes over as head of the Mobility division at Munich Trade Fair

On July 1, 2025, Munich-based lawyer and local politician Christian Vorländer will join Munich Trade Fair as the new Executive Director of the Mobility division. He will be responsible for the strategic direction and further development of IAA MOBILITY – one of the most important international formats for the mobility of the future.

Experience in law, politics, and the trade fair industry

Vorländer has been a lawyer since 2003 and was a member of the Munich City Council until 2025, focusing on economic and location issues. From 2020 to 2025, he was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Munich Trade Fair. In this role, he not only brings legal expertise and local government experience to the table, but also has first-hand knowledge of the structures and needs of the trade fair company. He voluntarily resigned from the Supervisory Board before taking up his new position.

Focus on future mobility and international networking

With IAA MOBILITY, Vorländer is taking on a key project for Munich Trade Fair. Since its relaunch in 2021, the event has been regarded as a driving force for sustainable mobility concepts and international industry networking. The aim is to further develop the platform in terms of content and tap into new growth potential. Christine von Breitenbuch will remain in charge of the operational management of IAA MOBILITY, while Vorländer will report to Co-CEO Stefan Rummel.
