CIB Mobil: Revolutionizing Construction Material Ordering Online

After 35 years, the Computerinstitut Bamberg (CIB) has established online communication between its customers and their customers. Users have known CIB Mobil for 3 years now. CIB Mobil is now available with an online order.

CIB Mobil: Controlling orders for the construction site on the move

How does CIB Mobile work? The customer uses his smartphone on the construction site. He has entered the address previously provided by the concrete or sand plant into his smartphone. The customer now has the option of starting a new order. He simply selects "Start new order". He then selects a construction site that is listed here and goes through the ordering process. There are only 4 to 5 pieces of information that need to be handed over in the ordering process and the biggest problem is communication. For example, the customer is sitting in a car, or has a poor radio connection, or is surrounded by construction noise. This first communication is the most strenuous. After that, the order process continues as before. The customer response is very good. The background to this is that the dispatchers and mixing supervisors see added value in the software. You can read comments on social media such as: "This is by far the coolest scheduling program he has ever worked with. Thank you very much." - that sounds very positive.
