Riedl Homelift: platform elevators for barrier-free comfort in your own home

Elevators are primarily known from public buildings. At Heim+Handwerk, Riedl Aufzüge will be demonstrating that a lift can also be useful and feasible in private homes. The Homelift on show enables barrier-free access to several floors - without the structural requirements of a classic elevator shaft.

Platform lift without a shaft - compact technology for existing buildings

The AHL Aritco HomeLift platform lift on show is designed so that it does not require a shaft pit or shaft head. The necessary technology is integrated into the floor, which makes installation particularly interesting for existing buildings. Only a room height of around 2.30 meters is required at the top. At the Heim+Handwerk trade fair, it will be demonstrated how this design can be used to install a lift in places where conventional elevator systems would be out of the question.

  • No elevator shaft required
  • No shaft pit or shaft head required
  • Suitable for many existing buildings
This makes barrier-free living possible even without extensive conversions.

Simple operation for everyday life

The lift door opens automatically in the middle. The desired floor is selected using a rotary knob, then the lift starts at the touch of a button. The operation is deliberately kept clear and simple so that it works intuitively in everyday life. At Heim und Handwerk, it is clear that the focus is not on technical complexity, but on safe and understandable use - regardless of age or physical limitations.

  • Automatically opening lift door
  • Level selection via rotary knob
  • Clear, easy-to-understand controls
This makes the lift easy to use even for inexperienced users.

Design as an integral component

In addition to the technology, the design also plays a role. The Homelift has a glass lift door, a so-called design wall and integrated shaft lighting. These elements ensure that the lift blends harmoniously into the living space. The second smallest model will be on display at the trade fair, showing how compact the lift can be despite its attractive design.

  • Glass, centrally opening lift door
  • Design elements such as design wall
  • Integrated lighting for the shaft area
In this way, the lift is not perceived as a foreign body, but as part of the living concept.

Variants for different space and usage requirements

The Homelift is available in different sizes. The largest version measures around 1.10 × 1.40 meters and is therefore wheelchair accessible. The interior offers enough space for an accompanying person to ride along. This makes the system suitable both for preventive accessibility and for specific mobility restrictions in everyday life.

  • Various lift sizes available
  • Wheelchair-accessible design possible
  • Planned space for accompanying person
This allows the lift to be adapted to the individual living situation.
