Märklin: 30 years retailer initiative

Märklin celebrates 30 years of retailer initiative. This means that from spring 2020, you will be able to purchase a very special version of the Vectron train exclusively from selected retailers.

A locomotive as a birthday present

Märklin has a locomotive as a birthday present for dealers this year. Thirty years ago, 78 dealers got together and founded a dealer initiative together with the Märklin company. And a beautiful locomotive was designed to mark the anniversary. The dealers in the retailer initiative are selected dealers who make suggestions for products in various committees. Märklin then makes suggestions to implement the ideas. The retailers are therefore involved in product development and receive exclusive products every year.

Märklin retailer with special benefits

The advantage for the dealers is obvious. Because if I, as a train enthusiast and fan, want something really special, then I have to go to one of these dealers. Some of these are special edition products, others are new designs - in other words, really interesting models.

Vektron locomotive with special coloring

This year there is a special Vektron locomotive, which mainly runs at night on the German railroad tracks. You can see from the paintwork that the model is actually from the 1970s. There used to be the V200, which was actually the diesel locomotive par excellence on the German Federal Railroad. The locomotive was painted accordingly, but this model does not yet exist in this color scheme in real life. But perhaps one or two DB employees will be inspired. The locomotive will be available from Märklin relatively soon, the model is already in production. Delivery should therefore be possible in spring 2020.
