What looks like a classic skid steer loader at first glance turns out to be a sophisticated machine with an unusual concept on closer inspection. It was developed by the Italian manufacturer MakBrent - with the aim of achieving maximum flexibility with the most compact dimensions possible. The result: a modular construction machine that can be converted as required and can even be used in forestry.

The central element is a locking system that allows attachments to be changed quickly. Unlike classic skid steer loaders, the drive units are designed so that they can be adapted or completely replaced depending on the task. Whether excavating for pipes up to 1.20 meters or milling up to 1.50 meters deep - the system remains stable and the machine controllable. A quick changeover is usually all that is needed to switch between civil engineering, pipeline work or special applications.

Compact Deutz engine under 50 hp for low-emission use

MakBrent relies on a Deutz engine below the 50 hp mark for the drive. The decision is a pragmatic one: the machine remains compact and more cost-effective in many regions, without showing any weaknesses in use. The power is sufficient to work consistently even under load. In combination with the modular design, this results in an unusually flexible application profile - from small construction sites to remote forest paths.

All-terrain configuration for forestry technology and inclines of up to 33 degrees

The design is robust enough for use on steep terrain. Gradients of up to 33 degrees are possible - a value that is particularly relevant in forestry. For this area, the machine can be equipped with a mulcher. MakBrent has selected the configuration so that even rough terrain can be mastered without the need for additional technology or aids.

Remote control as standard for precise work outside the danger zone

One detail that is immediately noticeable during operation: the machine is not controlled from the driver's seat, but by remote control. This has several advantages. Firstly, the operator is not standing in the danger zone - and secondly, he has a direct view of the working area. This ensures greater precision, especially when digging or using heavy tools. At the same time, it increases safety on the construction site - a point that is becoming increasingly important for many operators.

International demand from Canada and Saudi Arabia underlines market potential

MakBrent is now supplying the new series not only within Europe, but also overseas. The first machines have gone to Saudi Arabia and Canada, among others. This shows that a skid steer loader with these capabilities is in demand there: The demand for modular, remote-controlled machines is greater than previously assumed. With a price of around 300,000 euros, the model is positioned in the upper segment - but remains within the range for professional users with long-term requirements.
