With a broad presence at bauma, Wacker Neuson and Kramer are jointly demonstrating what is currently possible in terms of technology. The focus is on the EW100 mobile excavator – a machine that stands out not only for its size, but above all for its modern interface technology.
bauma provides the perfect setting to give a comprehensive insight into the Kramer and Wacker Neuson product range. Around 300 exhibits have been brought together for the event – from classic construction equipment to machines for compaction and concrete technology. One thing is clear: both brands see themselves as solution providers with an unusually wide range of models.
The EW100 is one of the core machines in the Wacker Neuson range. As the largest mobile excavator in the range, it is designed for a wide variety of tasks. It really comes into its own when working in frequently changing locations: quick to get to the site, flexible in use, and designed for many attachments. The classic bucket is just one of many options – mixing devices, milling machines, and other special applications can also be used.
A key feature of the EW100 is the MiC 4.0 interface. It ensures that the excavator communicates with the respective attachment. Pressure, flow rate, and other settings are automatically detected and adjusted. The operator does not need to make any settings – even coupling is done without leaving the cab. This is made possible by a hydraulic quick coupler with integrated electrical connection.
The open interface solution is designed so that attachments from other manufacturers can also be used without any problems. In practice, this means fewer restrictions and more flexibility – regardless of the attachment manufacturer. Wacker Neuson is thus sending a clear signal in the direction of practical digitalization.
Wacker Neuson is attracting special attention at bauma with an “excavator show.” At the trade fair booth, construction machines are showcased in a choreographed performance accompanied by a live band. The combination of technology and music gives the presentation a dynamic atmosphere and is very popular with trade fair visitors.
