With its fully hydraulic quick-change system for excavators, Lehnhoff provides a solution that combines high efficiency with practical flexibility. The automatic tool change is completed in the shortest possible time, including immediate establishment of all hydraulic and electrical connections. This is made possible by a sophisticated system design with a symmetrical valve block, integrated power feed-through and mechanical compatibility based on the S standard.
The heart of the system is the fully automatic coupling of the hydraulic circuits when changing tools. When the attachment is engaged, all lines are connected automatically - without manual intervention or additional adapters. Changing a hydraulic tool takes around 20 seconds. The full function is available immediately afterwards, without the driver having to get out or losing any time.
A specially developed valve system ensures a particularly high volume flow. This leads to low dynamic pressures and therefore to a noticeable improvement in energy efficiency. This measurably reduces fuel consumption, especially during intensive use in civil engineering or with frequent tool changes.
A key unique selling point is the completely symmetrical arrangement of the valves in the valve block. This means that hydraulic attachments can also be operated in a rotated position - i.e. in reverse mode. In practice, this means that a classic swivel bucket can simply be mounted at 180 degrees and used as a high-tip bucket.
The hydraulic function is fully retained, which extends the excavator's range of applications. This creates additional flexibility, particularly when working on elevated installation points, filling containers or reloading - without the need for additional special tools.
In addition to the hydraulic circuits, the power supply is also established automatically when the appliance is changed. The power feed-through is permanently integrated in the quick coupler - there are no external plug connections or vulnerable cables.
This solution significantly reduces the risk of failure: nothing can tear off, become dirty or be demolished during use. The power supply is therefore just as reliable as the hydraulics - even under continuous load and adverse conditions on the construction site. Lehnhoff describes this solution as a proprietary development that has been specially designed for tough everyday construction work.
Mechanically, the system is based on the so-called S standard, which works with two symmetrical shafts. This standard is becoming increasingly popular internationally, as it ensures a high level of compatibility between quick couplers and attachments from different manufacturers.
In combination with the company's own valve system, Lehnhoff has created a solution that can be used in both mixed fleets and specialized machine fleets. The symmetrical design of the mechanics and valve technology makes the system particularly versatile and future-proof.
The entire system technology is manufactured in Baden-Baden. The high level of vertical integration at the site in the northern Black Forest guarantees quality and availability - combined with the ability to technically implement individual customer requirements. "Made in Black Forest" stands for robust, tried-and-tested technology that is required in excavator operations every day.
