Retrofittable lifts are the core competence of Ascendor from the Austrian Mühlviertel region. At Interlift 2023, Ascendor will be presenting a shaftless lift, among other things. Managing Director Erwin Roither describes the company's development since 2006, from platform stairlifts to its current focus on vertical lifts.
DuraPorte platform lift in aluminum shaft also for outdoor use
The DuraPorte, which is based on the UnaPorte shaftless lift or home lift with a maximum lifting height of 3 m, is presented as an innovation. This was integrated into a shaft for protection in the lower area, especially for public areas and for outdoor use. Ascendor is always keen to develop new innovations. A new, even higher shaft is in the pipeline. Designs adapted to new and existing buildings are also part of the ongoing smaller innovations. Mr. Roither sees the reduction of installation times due to high personnel costs as a further challenge.
Install stairlift within 2 days
The doors of the lifts can be opened automatically or manually and can be installed on either side of the housing depending on the situation. The carpet covering for the floor can be selected from 10 different types. The lift is operated using a display inside the cabin. The display also shows any errors that may occur for safety reasons. The lifting height is currently up to 3 m in accordance with the Machinery Directive. A lift of this type can be installed within 2 days.
