Bio-based plastics for injection molding and thermoformed parts

A key area of Green Harbor's work is the production of bio-based plastic granulates. These are suitable for both injection molding and thermoforming and offer an alternative to conventional plastics. The material produced in-house is used to make films and molded parts that are approved for food contact. This enables the production of packaging for chocolate, cookies, and other products.

Green Harbor produces reusable cups and cellulose thermoformed parts

In addition to classic packaging solutions, reusable products are also being developed. One example is the dishwasher-safe reusable cup made from bio-based granulate, which can be printed on and is suitable for events. The portfolio also includes cellulose-based thermoformed parts, which are sustainable alternatives to plastic and at the same time meet the requirements of the food industry.

Algae-based blister packaging as a substitute for aluminum

A clear example of this integrated approach is a specially developed mouth ulcer patch for oral care, which is based on algae. The innovative medical product is combined with a matching, bio-based blister packaging that completely replaces aluminum and at the same time meets high quality requirements. In this way, Green Harbor demonstrates how research, material development, and packaging solutions go hand in hand and how sustainable raw materials can be used to create market-ready products for various industries.
