Weinmann GmbH covers several closely interlinked areas with its brands: pool technology, whirlpools and saunas. While Trend Pool addresses the classic swimming pool sector and TrendSPA stands for whirlpools, the focus at aquanale will be on the sauna sector in particular. Under the Saunari brand, the company will be showing what modern outdoor saunas can look like today - functional, clearly designed and technically sophisticated.
An outdoor sauna was chosen as the trade fair highlight, which shows at first glance where the journey is heading. Aluminum on the outside, thermal pine on the inside: this combination of materials is no coincidence. Aluminum ensures a calm, modern appearance and high weather resistance, while thermal pine on the inside is specifically suitable for outdoor use. The pre-treated wood is dimensionally stable, durable and requires comparatively little maintenance - a decisive factor for freestanding saunas.
The design of the benches is immediately noticeable in the interior. Instead of classic, solid-looking constructions, Saunari relies on floating, continuous seating and reclining surfaces. This design not only looks lighter, but also improves the use of space and makes cleaning easier. At the same time, all necessary safety distances to the sauna heater are consistently maintained - a detail that is often underestimated in everyday life, but is crucial for operational safety and approval.
A central element of the sauna on display is the heater with integrated air mixing system. This system ensures that the warm air is distributed more evenly throughout the room. Oxygen-rich air from the lower area is directed upwards, while the hot air from above is directed downwards again. The result is a more balanced climate, which many sauna users find much more pleasant. Infusions also benefit from this: the steam lasts longer, has a softer effect and does not cause fatigue as quickly.
The large stone basket of the heater plays a central role. It stores the heat efficiently and emits it evenly. In combination with the air mixing system, this creates a sauna climate that is less “hot” but still intense. The advantage is particularly evident during longer sauna sessions: the strain on the circulation remains moderate and the experience is perceived as more lasting.
In addition to design and comfort, energy also plays a central role. The sauna on display is insulated, with additional insulation on the inside to keep as much heat as possible in the room. A lot of glass was deliberately used for the trade fair to provide a view. In real use, however, variants with thicker wood cladding can also be implemented, which are even more energy efficient. This flexibility allows the sauna to be adapted to different usage profiles.
Another aspect that Weinmann emphasizes is the service concept. The products are primarily aimed at swimming pool builders and specialist companies, who often cover several trades. The aim is to support these partners - through reliable production, clean prefabrication and clear technical concepts. The sauna should be easy to integrate without causing additional planning work on the construction site.
The Saunari solution is exemplary of an approach in which design, technology and energy efficiency are not considered separately. Instead of individual product features, the result is a closed system that fits into modern outdoor areas both visually and functionally. The outdoor sauna on show makes it clear that contemporary sauna construction today goes far beyond classic wooden cabins - and that comfort is increasingly created from the combination of many small, neatly implemented details.
