From October 24 to 27, 2023, Aquanale in Cologne was once again the showcase for innovations from the swimming pool, sauna, spa and wellness sectors. Every two years, international trade visitors can find everything they need to know about the private and public swimming pool sector and innovations in the spa sector under one roof in Halls 7 and 8 of Koeln Messe. Business connections are made at Aquanale, which was once again the national and international business and communication platform for the pool, sauna, spa and wellness industry for 4 days in 2023. At its 10th event, the international swimming pool and wellness forum presented topics on current issues and offered workshops, lectures and best-practice presentations in the swimming pool and sauna sector, a knowledge platform that was highly appreciated by all participants. Those who were unable to attend Aquanale on site used the content and news on the digital platforms to stay up to date. The focus of Aquanale 2023 was on the topic of sustainability. Questions and solutions relating to energy efficiency, water management, digitalization, but also the management of skilled workers were dealt with in an interesting supporting programme. The pleasing number of 272 exhibitors from 31 countries presented new products and designs for sustainable and innovative swimming pool and wellness construction. With a large number of market-leading companies from Germany and abroad, the pre-corona level could be reached again for the 20th anniversary of Aquanale in 2023. Together with FSB, the trade fair for open space, sport and exercise facilities, which took place at the same time as Aquanale, around 25,000 trade visitors from 123 countries took a look at what both trade fairs had to offer. The highlight of the first day of the trade fair culminated in the presentation of the European Swimming Pool Awards EUSA AWARDS 2023 for the most beautiful private outdoor and indoor pools as well as whirlpools, spas and pools with covers. To kick off the trade fair, the host country Switzerland invited visitors to an aperitif and presented dream pools “Made in Switzerland” that were nominated for the “aqua suisse award”.
