The public and sales fair heim + handwerk at the Trade Fair Center of Messe München once again offered a huge range of products on the topics of building, furnishing and living from November 23 - 27, 2016. Since its first event in 1978, what is now southern Germany's largest trade fair for building and living has attracted visitors from far beyond the borders of the Bavarian capital. Heim und Handwerk is organized by the Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen (GHM).
The Chairman of GHM, Mr. Dieter Dohr, reported at the end of the trade fair that the clearer structuring of the halls according to themes was very well received by visitors. The 875 exhibitors ranged from home accessories, arts and crafts and lifestyle in Hall A1, exclusive living in Hall A2 to living, sleeping and health in Hall A3. Anyone wanting to find out about building and finishing could find what they were looking for in Hall B1, while energy and interior design were the core themes in Hall B2. Last but not least, Bavaria's largest kitchen exhibition in Hall B3 was a hit. Free areas were also created in all halls where visitors and suppliers could hold free consultations in a pleasant atmosphere. In particular, the forum "Energy. Intelligent. Networked" forum with a focus on smart homes attracted a great deal of interest.
Messe.TV was able to see the wide range of home and building products for itself during its visit to heim + handwerk 2016. Not only unusual furniture such as the LED furniture pieces from Living 5-0 or the individual home design from a mix of conventional natural materials and modern components at Sendlhofer or the unusual designs in marble or granite for table tops and much more at Monachia Design - a wide range of wellness tools was also present in the exhibition halls. For example, Mr. Axel Steinbach presented the patented pool filter technology of the French family business Desjoyaux for the pool builder and explained how a pool can be operated with low energy consumption. The whirlpools from Armstark promised maximum wellness in your own home, while the specialist Physiotherm presented luxurious infrared cabins with underfloor heating.
Whether sustainable like the furniture constructed from old musical instruments by the company “Ausgespielt” or innovative like the scented walls by Latrace or the striking Wallapp wall decorations, which effectively showcase hobbies, passions and experiences according to the customer's wishes. But life is also made more enjoyable by practical items such as a clothes horse from Hangbird or the secure letterbox for parcels from Paketsafe. And of course, a healthy kitchen without additives should not be missing in a pleasant home. Clean Eating offered samples of tasty and healthy dishes at its stand. The company Bofun showed the same concern with the most important utensil of healthy Asian cuisine, the wok, integrated into high-quality tables. It can be used to conjure up delicious dishes both indoors and outdoors.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors to heim + handwerk 2016 were able to find out about the latest developments in the home, furnishing and building sector at more than 80 expert presentations on three action stages over 5 days.
Heim+Handwerk 2016 at Messe München's Exhibition and Trade Fair Center presented a wide range of topics for private living, interior design, construction and finishing solutions. The event, which has been held regularly since 1978, is considered one of southern Germany's largest public and sales platforms for building, furnishing and living. From November 23 to 27, 2016, visitors took the opportunity to gather comprehensive information, ideas and new inspiration for their homes over the five days of the trade fair.
The trade fair was divided thematically into different areas that offered visitors orientation and covered different aspects of living and building:
For 2016, the hall structure was organized by theme to optimize the flow of information for visitors. Thematic zones made it possible to specifically target areas such as “Energy and intelligent networking”, “Sleeping and health” or “Interior design”. Open consultation areas were also available in numerous hall areas, where interested parties could talk directly to experts.
A central component of Heim+Handwerk 2016 was the accompanying lecture and consultation program. Over several days, practical content, information on current trends and tips for projects in your own home were offered on several activity areas and stages. Many presentations were aimed specifically at homeowners, builders and people with an interest in sustainable living and modern quality of life.
Heim+Handwerk 2016 combined elements of a trade fair for the general public with those of a specialist event for end consumers. Visitors used the event to ask practical questions about construction and home projects as well as to get an overview of lifestyle trends, new products and home ideas. The combination of exhibition, advice, presentations and experience areas helped to make the trade fair both informative and entertaining.
