Audi presented the new Q3 e-hybrid at the IAA MOBILITY in Munich. The compact SUV has been a bestseller in the premium segment for more than ten years and is now even more confident and emotive in its new generation. With digital equipment, innovative lighting technology, and modern assistance systems, it aims to position itself as the ideal everyday companion.
Its official product launch took place at the end of August, making the Q3 e-hybrid the latest model in the series. Its sister model was unveiled back in June, and now the Q3 Sportback, a dynamic variant, is following suit. For years, the Q3 has been one of the most important models for the Audi brand—no other model has had such an impact on the premium compact segment. The new generation is even more versatile and modern.
The Q3 e-hybrid comes with numerous features that make it a digital partner for everyday life. The wide range of assistance systems in particular increases safety and comfort. These include Adaptive Driving Assistant and Trained Parking. The vehicle learns up to five different parking maneuvers—for example, in garages or private parking spaces—and later recalls them independently. Audi is thus taking everyday practicality in the compact segment to a new level.
A key highlight is the lighting technology. For the first time, Audi is bringing Matrix LED headlights from the luxury class to the compact segment. MicroLED technology ensures significantly better illumination and stronger contrast. This is a major advantage, especially in poor weather conditions, as it improves visibility and increases safety. The Q3 thus offers technologies that were previously reserved for larger vehicle classes.
Audi is positioning the Q3 e-hybrid as a vehicle that is particularly interesting for young families. It offers generous space: the trunk has a capacity of 488 liters, which can be increased to up to 1289 liters with the rear seats folded down. A special feature is the relocation of the gear selector lever to the steering wheel. This solution creates additional space in the center console and at the same time increases driving safety, as the driver does not have to take their hands off the wheel.
The new Q3 is a versatile space miracle that combines design, comfort, and safety. Whether as an SUV or Sportback, it offers plenty of space, a wide range of assistance systems, and modern digital equipment. This keeps it a bestseller in its class and continues Audi's success story in the premium compact segment.
