At IFA 2025, TP-Link is presenting that the company is much more than just a networking specialist. In addition to Wi-Fi 7 routers, gaming solutions, and mesh systems from its Deco sub-brand, the company is focusing on its commitment to the smart home sector in Berlin. The centerpiece of the trade fair presentation is the new RV50 robot vacuum cleaner, which will be launched in October. The presentation will be complemented by a preview of future models that will be equipped with AI and sustainable technologies.
TP-Link has been a fixture in network technology for years. Its portfolio ranges from routers and range extenders to mesh solutions. With its move into the smart home sector, the company is consistently pursuing its strategy of connecting different areas of life. At IFA, it is clear how much this sector has grown: vacuum robots from the RV series play a central role and demonstrate how the claim of “less effort for the user” can be implemented.
Following the entry-level RV30 model, the RV50 is now a device that sets new standards in terms of technology. The suction power ranges from 15,000 to 22,000 pascals, ensuring that even deeply embedded dirt is reliably removed. The robot is equipped with an all-in-one station that largely automates cleaning. Emptying, refilling, and wiping are performed independently, so that the user only has to dispose of the residual waste. Another new feature is an integrated robot arm that reaches even hard-to-reach corners, ensuring even cleaning.
The RV50 Pro Omni, which will be released in October, uses laser technology for obstacle detection. This allows the robot to navigate safely through living spaces and reliably avoid objects. TP-Link has announced the RV50 AI Omni for next year, which will also be equipped with a camera. This not only detects obstacles, but can also distinguish between different types – for example, whether an object can be moved or is better to be avoided. TP-Link is thus bringing another piece of artificial intelligence into everyday life.
TP-Link is also presenting the RV70, which is announced for next year, as a technological vision. Particularly innovative: the device will be able to extract water directly from the air, process it, and use it independently for mopping. This approach not only saves effort but also resources and sets an example for greater sustainability in product development. The goal is a nearly completely self-sufficient cleaning system that takes as much work off the user's hands as possible.
TP-Link's robot vacuums are aimed at a broad target group. From entry-level models to high-end devices with AI functions, the company offers solutions for different budgets and requirements. Reliability is particularly important here: a robot vacuum should reduce work and not create additional tasks. With the RV series, TP-Link emphasizes that performance, user-friendliness, and innovative features go hand in hand.
At IFA 2025, TP-Link impressively demonstrates how the company has evolved from a pure network specialist to a provider of comprehensive smart home solutions. The RV50 represents the current state of the art, while the RV50 AI Omni and RV70 offer a glimpse into the future. With powerful suction, automated processes, AI support, and sustainable approaches, TP-Link is bringing innovations to the market that are designed to make everyday life noticeably easier.
