The BMC Facelift from Hymer is one of the highlights at the Caravan Salon. The series is being presented with four new layouts, available as either semi-integrated or integrated versions. The focus is on a revised exterior design that creates a clearer, more dynamic appearance, combined with practical innovations in the interior and flexible solutions for different target groups.
The facelift is particularly evident in the exterior, which has been significantly changed. Hymer has opted for a striking design language, emphasized by flush-fitting flaps and covers. Filler necks for diesel, fresh water, and shore power are integrated flush into the bodywork, creating a particularly clean appearance. Another new feature is the “Chrome Delete”: instead of classic chrome strips, high-gloss black elements are used at the front and rear. The new look is complemented by fresh side decals, which give the vehicle a sporty and elegant touch.
In the BMC facelift, great importance was attached to details that make everyday life easier. Flush handles and filler modules contribute to clean lines. The switch to compressor refrigerators is also part of this – this eliminates the usual ventilation grilles on the side of the vehicle. Only a few elements, such as the toilet cassette flap, remain omitted for technical reasons. Overall, this makes the exterior design more homogeneous than before.
The BMC facelift is not aimed at a single buyer group, but covers a broad spectrum. Young families, middle-aged couples, or even retired seniors – everyone can find solutions that suit their needs. The number of seats and sleeping places is particularly variable: up to five seats with a corresponding number of beds are possible. This makes the series suitable for both classic use by couples and for families looking for a spacious motorhome.
The best layouts from the existing series have been retained and further developed. Two variants feature longitudinally arranged single beds, which can be combined with either a spacious bathroom or a comfort bathroom solution. The spacious bathroom separates the shower and toilet area, which can be combined into a generous bathroom area thanks to clever door solutions. In the comfort bathroom, the shower, toilet, and sink are combined more compactly in one room, which saves space while still offering a high level of comfort.
The vehicle lengths range from 7.19 to 7.39 meters. In terms of weight, the BMC is in the over 3.5-ton class and therefore requires a larger driver's license. The entry-level price starts at around 110,000 euros, depending on the body type and equipment. Hymer is thus clearly positioning the BMC Facelift in the premium segment, but at the same time offering a wide range of customization options.
In addition to design and floor plan variants, work has also been done on ergonomics and storage space utilization. An innovative storage space concept ensures that luggage and equipment can be stowed away efficiently. The vehicles combine living comfort with well-thought-out functionality – from flexible bed solutions and ergonomic floor plans to storage solutions with attention to detail.
