Sustainable innovation at Heim und Handwerk: Glue-free solid wood walls

A special highlight was presented at the "Heim und Handwerk" trade fair: the glue-free solid wood walls. This innovative wall solution sets new standards in terms of sustainability and regionality. They are made exclusively from regional wood sourced from local forest farmers. This is processed in local sawmills, dried directly on site and turned into finished walls in a state-of-the-art, fully automated production facility. The entire process underlines the commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable construction methods.

Wood through and through: Unique connection technology without compromise

The special feature of the solid wood walls is that they are made entirely of wood, down to the smallest detail. Wooden nails are used instead of glue or metal joints. This method guarantees a completely wood-based connection that is particularly stable thanks to a so-called "wood welding effect". The walls consist of layers of wood stacked on top of each other, which are fastened with wooden nails according to a sophisticated system. This technique is not only ecological, but also extremely durable and stable. Compared to conventional wall solutions, sustainability is implemented here in its purest form.

Visible and non-visible walls: aesthetics and functionality combined

The solid wood walls are available as both exposed and non-exposed walls. Visible walls impress with their discreet appearance, where the wooden nails are barely visible. This makes them ideal for sophisticated interior designs. At the same time, the solid wood structure offers optimum thermal insulation and excellent soundproofing properties. The versatility of these walls is a great advantage for use in various construction projects, as they can be individually adapted to the requirements of the respective construction site.

100 % recyclable: Sustainability right through to dismantling

Another decisive advantage of these walls is their complete recyclability. As the construction is made entirely of wood, the walls and ceilings can be easily dismantled at the end of their service life and either reused or recycled. This makes them an ideal solution for sustainable construction projects. Glue is also not used in production, which also contributes to environmental friendliness. The glue-free dowel wood ceilings, another of the manufacturer's products, follow the same principle and complement the sustainable building system.

Value for money: quality that impresses

With a price of around 150 to 160 euros per square meter for standard exterior walls, solid wood walls offer an attractive balance between quality and cost. The price varies depending on the project requirements, wall thickness and surface area, but investing in this sustainable construction method is worthwhile for anyone who values regionality, durability and environmental friendliness. The solid wood walls and ceilings are an impressive example of how modern technology and sustainable values can go hand in hand to realize future-proof construction projects.
